- Slaves were first introduced in 1619 in Virgina for the first time. Slavery went on from the 17th to 18th century in America and is believed that more than 6 to 7 million slaves were imported to the U.S. alone in the 18th century. Slaves typically worked on tobacco, rice, and indigo plantain fields. Later, the southern states had a crisis and people no longer wanted tobacco, England demanded cotton and later changed to the product of cotton, which created an invention called the cotton gin to remove the seeds faster than those of the slaves. Cotton became the priority in the south for farmers to earn a profit. Slave owners usually owned under 50 slaves per farm and the slaves were prohibited on learning to read and write English and the slaves family were separate and sold to a different slaveholder for money, especially the young female slaves.

- The conflict between North US and South US included 600,000 deaths to abolish slavery. During the presidency of Abraham Lincoln, he sought to abolish slavery while in office and succeeded by defeating the confederacy. However, when Abraham Lincoln took office, the South separated from the U.S. and called themselves the Confederacy. The war had begun and the North and South began to have conflicts. The Southern states believed that keeping slaves would helped them financially and economically with free labor. The war lasted for about 5 years which caused the Northern states to win. The confederacy states had fallen because of shortages of food and no transportation from the North to provide them with food and resources. After the war, the 13th amendment was passed that abolished slaver and a long with other amendments that gave more rights to slaves.
